WELCOME

Whether you are a life-long member or you are walking through the door for the first time, there is heart-felt welcome waiting for you at Trinity. Sunday greeters are at each door to help newcomers get oriented, but the lasting welcome comes from conversations that flow freely as people enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

The diverse wall of crosses collected by Trinity members from various places in the world, greet everyone as they enter the church from Q St. The 81st Street entrance includes a covered walkway which is much appreciated in inclement weather. Both entrances are handicap accessible.

A Trinity welcome is waiting for you -- from the greeters who welcome you at the door, to the people you meet as we share Christ’s peace in worship; from the fellowship around coffee and refreshments in fellowship hall to the mid-week invitation to come again and participate in the life of our congregation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You can expect to be treated with respect, kindness, dignity and compassion at Trinity. Our

Trinity worship is a joyful, non-traditional experience for all ages. Contemporary and traditional music is led by Holy Ground, our praise band. The message of worship is meant to encourage a relationship with Christ that is lived out where we live, work and play.

Many people dress casually for worship, fellowship, and small group studies on Sunday mornings. Expect to be invited to groups and activities that meet throughout the week as well.

WHAT WE OFFER

Trinity is a very committed, supportive church family. We encourage all ages to get involved in spiritual growth opportunities and the many outreach projects of our church.

Wednesday nights during the school year, the energy runs high with mid-week children’s activities, adult small groups and Trinity singing groups and the praise band hold their practices. Youth groups provide fun and fellowship for our teens. The missions team organizes a variety of outreach projects throughout the year for all ages. For those who enjoy music, there are both vocal and instrumental groups who share their gifts in worship.

The TrinityRalston Community Center will be consecrated June 7th, 2009 opening a new venue for activities for all ages. We have only begun to imagine the possibilities for youth programs, recreation, community gatherings and educational opportunities, and the new people who will want to know more about our congregation.

HOW WE SHARE OUR GIFTS

We believe that the gift of faith in Christ is intended to make a difference both in our lives and in the world. We care for one another. An active visitation team makes regular visits to members who are homebound or hospitalized; prayer shawls are made for members and friends as a sign of love and encouragement, and a prayer chain call alerts the congregation to be in prayer for one another.

We reach out to the community. We have an on-going relationship with a Title IX elementary school, and we are a lead church for the local Angelfood Ministries food distribution. The Ralston Independence Day celebration, the community Thanksgiving Service and the annual Election Day dinner are all key events in the life of our congregation.

We reach out to all the world. Whether it is a neighbor in need of yard clean-up or a hurricane victim who needs help from a mission team, Trinity members are ready to serve in Christ’s name. One Great Hour of Sharing is our largest special offering each year as we put Christ’s love, and our gifts in action.
